Always wanted to learn R to make your research more reproducible but did not know where to start? This in-person workshop is designed for those who have never coded in R before or could use a refresher of the basics. The workshop will cover math operations, comparison operators, R vectors, variable creation, print statements, reading files into and writing files from R, dataframe basics, and creating basic charts. You will need to download R and RStudio before the workshop, please follow Library Carpentry’s instructions, https://librarycarpentry.org/lc-r/. If you are using a UMass Chan computer, you will need to contact IT for administrative permissions to download RStudio. She will also be available for 30 minutes prior to the workshop to troubleshoot the downloads.
